Dress Code

To foster a spirit of equality and neatness, uniforms are worn by all students from Kindergarten through Grade Five. Uniforms are to be worn from the first day of school until the last day of school, unless otherwise directed. Hats (baseball caps, etc) are not to be worn inside the building. Students are expected to be neat and clean in appearance at all times. It is the responsibility of the parent to see that their child is dressed according to the uniform code. The school reserves the right to determine what is appropriate or inappropriate.

Uniform apparel is to be purchased through Schoolbelles. For more information, please call (708) 598-8025 or visit the Schoolbelles Web site.

Busing

Bus service is available through Public School District 75 each day on which they are in session. Bus riders are students who reside more than 1.5 miles from Santa Maria del Popolo School. This service is not provided on our early dismissal days.

On Site Before School and After School Care Programs

Before School Care is offered each school day beginning at 6:30AM at a cost of $9.00 per day. After School Care is available for students on regular school days only until 6:00 PM. The daily rate is $15.00. Information and registration forms for both programs may be obtained through the school office.

Volunteers - Safe Environment Requirements

The Archdiocese of Chicago requires the following for all school volunteers, including the occasional chaperone and/or classroom helpers:

  1. Attending a VIRTUS training session
  2. CANTS
  3. Acknowledgement of Code of Conduct
